After watching "An Apology to Elephants," an HBO presents documentary, I think human beings really need to apologizeto elephants.

We have lived alongside these clever & giant animals for a long time. Now in many places we worship them as gods, we paint them into frescos, we train them to move heavy materials for our architecture, and even animate them into adorable cartoon characters.Human civilizations have been so fascinated by elephants, but now we exploit them for their organs or abuse them for entertainment.

There are 3 main elephant species in the world: African Savanna elephants, Asian elephants, and African forest elephants. Elephants are the natural coordinators for their environments, but it is said that more than 20,000 elephants are killed each year for their ivory & meat.

We also violate their lives with appalling training methods. People capture elephants from their homes and send them to circuses to do things that wild elephants would never do, like entertaining people by taking bows or standing on their hind legs.This is practiced by isolating baby elephants from their mothers, then training them to be obedient using fear. Humans use a sharp tool to stab elephants' trunks until their spirit is broken.

Elephants are emotional creatures, and have a huge capacity for sympathy. They are self-aware creatures, mirror others' behaviors, respect their elders, and are tactile mammals, just like humans are. We need to apologizeto elephants."<>"" && "
